Our beloved friend and local novelist Maeve Binchy has died aged 72 following a short illness. She always kept an eye on us in Dalkey and was such a pro-active integrated member of the local community. She was an integral part and pioneer of literary Ireland. Her exquisite work will live on in all of us. We will miss you Maeve very much. Thank you for everything and being You! RIP xxx
