For thousands of fans, Blazing Salads conjures up one meaning – whole food, fabulously prepared.

It all began more than 30 years ago when the Fitzmaurice family decided to adopt a strictly whole food diet. It was not easy; ingredients were scarce and there was little popular understanding of the benefits of whole foods. But to the Fitzmaurice’s the benefits were soon evident in high energy levels and a general sense of well being. A passion for whole food was born and it led, almost inevitably, to the opening of a whole food/vegetarian restaurant.

So we just wanted to take a moment to say Adios and much appreciation to our lovely team player Samuel Arnold whom is leaving us temporarily but you will see him throughout the Summer with Wicklow Lifeguards. He is a treasure island to us and we so very proud of his achievement to save more lives more than usual. Check him out singing live at Dalkey Book Festival 2012 Sat 16th June Bloomsaday at Writers Corner as he is also an excellent entertainer xxx
